From a child's perspective

So, Max asked for the camera this aftenoon and was pretty excited about taking some more pictures. Tonight before bed he made me promise that I would put them on the computer "but not the fuzzy ones"

So here's the world from Max's perspective - just a few out of the 130 odd pictures he took!!

Obviously not a self portrait - Arie took this one - Max and his sweaty head (probably sweaty because of all the running around he's just done taking photos of strange things!)

I never really looked at this play thing from this level - the kids use it as a castle, a cubby and a rocket ship.

My peg container since my plastic one that used to hang on the ground got brittle and broke. The cardboard ice cream box seems to be doing a better job despite the rain of the last couple of days

One of about 20 shots of the grass ... I wouldn't be surprised if some of it was from the neighbours yard as I went out the back to find both Max and Maeve climbing the fence.

The park at the end of the street - a blessing and a curse, not a day goes by that I don't get asked "can we go to the park today" - we should go more than we do.

This is my job for today ... to clean this pig sty - why I wonder as it will just look like this in a day or two again ... something about going around and coming around comes to mind !!

The size difference in this one was amazing. Their heads were so tiny. I didn't know babies came that small!!

Hazel and Lewis - Hazel looks just like Eleanor in this one - those Hardman genes are so strong!

twins

Hannah & Matt's babies, Hazel and Imelda, were born at about 3am this morning weighing 3.2 and 2.9 kgs respectively. I'll be visiting tomorrow so will have some lovely photos to put up, especially for Bekah & Beth who will be yet to see the newest additions to the extended family.

I could put some photos up of our newest addition - named skirting and architrave, but they're not as exciting as Hazel & Imelda!!

Well, just a couple anyway. ..

Notice the little dimples - you can't see them very well in this shot, but he has some! I could have wiped the drool off his chin before I took the photo, but to be honest, I didn't notice!

A funny story

I'm buying a new camera battery, so I should have some new photos soon ... as long as I can be bothered taking any. These days it seems to take all my energy and time just keeping the basics going. Plus I'm not sure anyone even looks at this (except you Lisa!)

A funny story ... This morning Max was looking for a particular pen (like a whiteboard marker) to write on some letter tracing cards we have. He couldn't find it and asked Arie for it, who said he couldn't find it and didn't know where it was.

Max's response that he should look in the "lost property".

When Arie queried where the lost property was Max told him "You know, that bowl on top of the microwave"!!!

I think everyone has a spot like that in their home somewhere ... some of us have more than one!

I just thought it was funny (and quite astute) that Max nominated that spot as our 'lost property'!!
