Happy Easter!
Just a couple of photos from our Easter egg hunt today. We decided to do the Easter bunny thing on Saturday instead of Sunday so we had plenty of time without competing with church.
The kids woke up and Max then went around looking for clues that the bunny had been and said he found dirt by the back door (I'm not surprised, but I don't think the dirt was from any bunnies!!) He found some more dirt in the hallway and followed it to the bedroom where they found a white chocolate bunny each. After breakfast we went outside and had a bit of an egg hunt ...
Looking a bit concerned that they
couldn't find any eggs
Max spies the first egg!

Here the negotiations are underway with Max (who found 5 purple eggs) trying to convince Maeve to swap a purple one for one of her coloured ones - because of course the coloured ones taste better.

"What do you mean there's no more??"

She did eventually give him her gold egg!
Today we discovered that Maeve is much more like me when it comes to consuming chocolate and Max is more like Arie. Maeve managed to eat half of her bunny and 3 of her 5 eggs in one sitting. Max nibbled on his bunny and ate only half of one of his eggs, choosing to save the rest for later!!

We spent the rest of the day wondering when they would crash down from the chocolate and sugar induced high and saying how grateful we were that Easter is only once a year!!
Hope you all had a nice Easter.

first photos
Inspired by some friends of ours, Arie & I thought we'd start putting some pictures of the kids up on a blog for our family & friends to look at.

The exercise so far has reminded me of my past desires to learn how to take better photos.
Poor Lewis is 16 days old today and has only ever had his photo taken by me once before ... 3rd child and all that!! However, if you want to pop over to http://littleposers.wordpress.com/ you can see a sneak peek of some gorgeous photos Lana has taken.
And I'll have to make a conscious effort to make sure I take some photos while Max is home from school too, otherwise people might start to think we got rid of him!!
